As part of the nationwide Coronation Big Lunch, we had a delicious parish lunch in the hall on Sunday 7th May, attended by 20 people. Many thanks to Trish and Pauline, and thanks also to those who made cakes and desserts for the occasion!
Many of us remember Maureen Laverack, who sadly died recently, RIP. Fr John informed us that Maureen’s funeral will take place on Tuesday 30th May in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, Bowes Road, New Southgate N11, at 12.30 pm.
We are approaching a busy period of the church liturgical year, with the feasts of the Ascension on 18th May and Pentecost on 28th. Our patronal festival will be on Trinity Sunday 4th June. Fr John is taking a well deserved holiday at the end of May, and we will welcome Fr Martin Poole SSC to celebrate Mass on 28th May.
