Epiphany

Three wise men visit the Crib on Epiphany Sunday.
“We have seen his star in the East, and have come with gifts to adore the Lord.” On Sunday 5th January, we celebrated the Epiphany at Mass. Small gifts were presented to the Crib by children at the end of Mass. Chalk was blessed and distributed. Journeys were the theme of Fr Simon’s sermon, with their opportunities for prayer and reflection.

The Christmas season continues, and this week we celebrate the Epiphany of The Lord. The wise men will soon arrive at the Crib in church.

And she gave birth to her first-born son and wrapped him in swaddling cloths, and laid him in a manger. (Luke 2:7).
Flowers at Christmas, in colours of red, white, green and silver.
Our church is beautifully decorated with flowers during Christmas: the festive colours of red, white, green and silver. Thanks to everyone who sponsored flowers, and thanks to Pauline for the lovely arrangements.
